HM1 Präzisions-Messerschärfer

If you haven't already heard halfmoon made their system almost perfect. The new clamps along with a new mount are amazing! My only issues are the original clamps the unit is sold with. If your going to purchase this sharpening system take my word for it. You have to get the new clamps. It's so worth the 40 dollars extra especially since they are giving you an extra set of clamps for free. The new clamps will manage any knife without giving in to the shape of the knife. The small clamps that come with are decent but nowhere near as solid and precision orientated as the new clamps. Let me put it to you this way if you don't purchase better clamps along with the sharpener, you'll be waisting your money.

Got this system recently and started working with it. Really easy to figure out, performs very well. Included diamond plates work well, whole system is quality! New style clamps make it even nicer, too! Already have a few friends who ordered the HM1 after they tried mine out!

It's an overall great system, well built using best materials. The key feature is the linear guiding rod, one of it's kind on the sharpening system market. But if I have to critis one thing, it's the clamps, not only do they deform while clamp down a thin knife and won't flex back after removing the knife, I also don't understand why not using a bracket that would work with other clamps from market competitors. I hope there will be a solution for this in the future or maybe a upgrade bracket.

This sharpening system is super easy to use and works really well for getting a razor-sharp edge. The diamond stone is top-notch, and I definitely recommend it!
